One of the major challenges when putting on an event is getting people to attend!
In July 2017, I co-managed an event in Dublin where we got over 100 attendees to a Dell EMC focused event. The event was on behalf of a IT reseller and gained great reviews and sales pipeline for the business.
The venue we used was Teeling Distillery in Dublin. Since 1782 the Teeling Family has been crafting Irish whiskey and it all began with Walter. In 1782 Walter Teeling set up a craft distillery on Marrowbone Lane in the Liberties area of Dublin commencing a 230 year tradition of distilling for the Teeling family. From Walter Teeling to the latest generation of Teelings in Jack and Stephen who are carrying on the family’s legacy and forging a bright new future for distilling in Dublin and for Irish whiskey.
On arrival the guests were given a whiskey cocktail and an introduction to the evening. The venue was split into three areas focusing on different Dell EMC technologies. This enabled the large crowd to be split up for 15 minute intervals to find out about each respective area. When the tour was completed the audience were given buffet food and the evening culminated in guest speaker, John Kavanagh talking about his career and especially his role with Conor McGregor.
The last guests left shortly after 11pm with everyone expressing their enthusiasm for the evening and how the blend of technology and a great venue with an engaging speaker was well worth an evening out.
