In 2011 I was asked to put together a name and new brand identity for a marketing communications business in South West of England. The owners wanted a name that aligned itself to Corporate Social Responsibility but also made a statement about their bold intentions for making a difference, especially on environmental issues.
Big Tree Marketing was the chosen name. The focus of the design was creating an identity that was modern, but reflected on the past. The colour palette was markedly different to the competition and the use of orange and brown was sympathetic to the environmental message and target customers the agency was going for. The retro font was also a nod to the past and a bold statement in a marketplace where the competition tended to have identities that were subtle and meek.
Following the launch of the new website and identity the agency started to pick up new clients including Landmark Information Group, part of DMGT and other local business who focused on tourism and the environment.
